Before Swim T1 Bike T2 Run After Thanks Results Conclusion

Thanks

There's no way I can thank everyone that deserves thanks, but I'm going to list some anyway.

- Matt, my best friend, who didn't have the best training season he could have had, but even when he couldn't work out, he was always there to support me, and if he's bummed that I beat him on the swim and the run, he'll never admit it to me (plus, he completely kicked my ass on the bike and overall)

- My whole family, who support me and are proud of me even if they don't always understand me (copied from last year, but it's still true!)

- IronSherpas Sarah and Jamie. When Sarah told me she would come cheer for me, I didn't believe her, but there she was, doing anything we needed her to do, and so was Jamie, who we didn't even know until we met her in Lake Placid, but she was right there with Sarah in the enthusiasm department, despite having just met us.

- Robyn, Leslie, Stephanie, Dave, Cathy, Leah, Claire, Pam, Jeff, Pam, Laura, Malinda and anyone else who trained with me this year. I did a lot of my training alone, but any time I didn't spend alone was so much appreciated.

- Courtney, who technically could have been included above, but she really went above and beyond once she started training with Texas Iron to do workouts with me, and really helped improve my swimming (and my swim was dedicated to her).

-Betsy, another fantastic sherpa, who sherpaed for all of the Texas Iron folks out there, and was constantly telling us she was there to do anything that we needed her to do, and I suspect it wasn't JUST to get out of doing the workouts she was supposed to be doing.

- Coach Karen, who taught me how to run, and gave me the tools and the know-how to run the entire marathon at the end of an Ironman and feel so fantastic doing it, and who is one of my best friends in addition to being my coach

- TxFe coaches Jamie and Andrea for giving me the tools and the know-how to get across the finish line with a massive PR, for always answering my questions.

- Derrick and Ali, my friends who may be far away, but helped me stay sane before, during and after the training, and were understanding about my crazy training schedule. They also opened up their home to our disgusting selves for several days on our way home from Lake Placid, and helped our bodies remember how to drink copious amounts of alcohol.

- And all of my friends who cheered me on and sent me encouragement and were there for me through this whole process. I couldn't have done it without you guys, and just because I didn't mention you specifically doesn't mean I don't love and appreciate you. My fingers are tired.
