October 15-17 Austin, TX This is my second year to do the Ride for the Roses. Last year was incredible.. seeing the thousands of riders who came out in the cold, the wind and the rain to support such a great cause. Seeing the little boy on his bike next to his dad, then noticing that he has a "I'm a Survivor" sticker on his back. Truly inspiring, and there was no way I was going to miss it this year. Thanks to everyone who supported me and the Lance Armstrong Foundation last year, and thanks to everyone who has already supported me this year. As a member of the Lance Armstrong Foundation’s Peloton Project, I am raising funds and awareness for the Foundation and their mission of enhancing the quality of life for those living with, through, and beyond cancer. The LAF is working to identify and improve cancer survivor services and facilitate the delivery of those services—and a large dose of hope—to the patients, their families, and other loved ones touched by the disease. The money you donate to the Peloton Project will help the LAF continue to aid those affected by cancer through programs, advocacy, research and survivorship support. Now, I am asking you to join me as I help the Lance Armstrong Foundation in their efforts to improve the lives of cancer survivors. I will be riding in the Ride for the Roses this year, and welcome your donations to sponsor my ride and support the LAF. You can give a gift in memory of a loved one, and have the gift notification letter sent to their spouse or family member, or simply make a general donation to help make a difference in the lives of those battling cancer. The donations are tax-deductible, and DO make a difference (80% of LAF's annual budget goes directly towards cancer survivorship programs, grants, and mission related activities). On behalf of all those whose lives are affected by cancer, I thank you for your support – with your donation we can make a positive impact on the lives of all cancer survivors. Please feel free to email me if you have any questions or comments.
